Baseball Recap: Cupertino Comes Up Short

Cupertino was the 8-0 winner over Lynbrook when they last played one another on April 3rd, but their luck changed this time around. The Pioneers fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cupertino's loss dropped their record down to 10-9-1. As for Lynbrook, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-15.

Coming up, Cupertino will take on Monta Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pioneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Matadors have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Lynbrook, they will challenge North Salinas at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
