Volleyball Recap: Webster Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Webster challenged Groton on Tuesday. The Bearcats fell 3-1 to the Tigers. The loss continues a trend for the Bearcats in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-10, 24-26, 25-17.

Groton can attribute much of their success to McKenna Tietz, who had eight digs and three aces. Tietz is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Webster now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Groton, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Webster wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Clark/Willow Lake on the 11th. As for Groton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Roncalli on the 11th.
