Basketball Recap: Soda Springs Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Soda Springs, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wendell Trojans on Wednesday, sneaking past 51-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cardinals have posted since December 18, 2024.

Wendell's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonathan Swainston, who posted 16 points along with five boards and five steals. Swainston's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordon Swainston, who had 13 points.

Soda Springs now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Wendell, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-5.

Soda Springs has already played their next match (against Malad), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Wendell, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 53-48 defeat against Declo on the 7th.
