Football Recap: Mauldin Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mauldin played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 33-10 to the Greenwood Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Mavericks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Eagles are ranked 12th).

Peyton Myers threw for 89 yards on 11 of 26 attempts. Landon Cash was his top target, picking up 30 receiving yards. On the ground, Taurus Thomason rushed for 94 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries.

Mauldin is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. As for Greenwood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.
