North Valley Christian Academy and Scottsdale Christian Academy squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but North Valley Christian Academy had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their 15-game winning streak.

Gabby Rice paced North Valley Christian Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Rice got some help from Brooklyn Hall and her 19 assists. Rice also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Suzy Goold, each putting up two.

Lucy Dickerson was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 14 digs and four assists. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Howell, who had eight digs and two aces.

North Valley Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 31-8. As for Scottsdale Christian Academy, the victory was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 35-6.

As of now, neither North Valley Christian Academy nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
