The Palm Desert Aztecs will be playing at home against the Xavier Prep Saints at 6:30 p.m. Palm Desert is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.6 points per game this season.

Palm Desert is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Palm Springs just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 43-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians.

Palm Desert's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Paul Dreisbach, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds, and Jecorey Jones, who posted 13 points. Dreisbach has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times he's played.

Meanwhile, Xavier Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-48 heartbreaker at the hands of La Quinta.

Palm Desert's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 14-7. As for Xavier Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.
