Soccer Game Preview: Buchanan vs. Clovis North

The Buchanan Bears will venture away from home to challenge the Clovis North Broncos at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Buchanan's last six games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Buchanan is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Clovis West on Tuesday. Buchanan fell just short of Clovis West by a score of 2-1. Avery Schneider was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Buchanan's goal came courtesy of Brayden Garcia, who's now up to ten this season.

Meanwhile, Clovis North waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Grizzlies onto the board and left with a 7-0 win. The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by three goals or more this season.

Clovis North pushed their record up to 14-1-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three matches. As for Buchanan, their loss dropped their record down to 14-2-6.
