University School of Jackson might have drawn first blood against Crockett County last Friday, but it was Crockett County who got the last laugh. University School of Jackson took a 13-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crockett County. The game was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but University School of Jackson was outplayed in the second half.
Meanwhile, everything went Haywood's way against Jackson North Side last week as they made off with a 33-12 win.
Haywood's victory lifted them to 1-1 while University School of Jackson's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Haywood can add another positive mark to their record or if University School of Jackson can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Haywood's step.
