Mena had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Clarksville on Friday. The Bearcats were the clear victors by  a  16-1 margin over the Panthers. The result was nothing new for the Bearcats, who have now won seven games by ten  runs or more  so far this season.
 Addison Thomas made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing four innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. Thomas was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. Those  three  runs gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news, Mena got a  massive  performance out of  Lily Rowland, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run and five  RBI. Those  five  RBI gave  Rowland a new career-high.  Emmi Hensley was another key player,  scoring four  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
Mena's victory was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 10-2. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Clarksville,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-14.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mena will take on Dardanelle at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The Sand Lizards have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.63  runs per game on average), something the Bearcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Clarksville, they will square off against Dover at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
