Volleyball Recap: Upperman Comes Up Short

Upperman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Siegel Stars.

Upperman was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Siegel work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 25-17.

Joey Restey paced Upperman's offense, picking up eight kills. Restey got some help from Beau Naylor and his 11 assists. Naylor was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Upperman's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Siegel, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coincidentally, Upperman and Siegel will both be playing Lebanon the next time they take the court. The Stars will host the Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Bees will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
