After a string of four wins, South Lamar's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 7-4 to the Berry Wildcats. The Stallions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

South Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Berry, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Lamar will host Pickens Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Pickens Academy will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Berry, they will take on Marion County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Berry is facing Marion County at the right time seeing as Marion County is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
