Basketball Game Preview: Howland Tigers vs. Canfield Cardinals

Howland is 0-10 against Canfield since February of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Howland Tigers duke it out with the Canfield Cardinals at 7:00 p.m.

Howland is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. The match between them and Harding didn't end well, with Howland falling 68-50. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while the Raiders are ranked 12th).

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Canfield against Austintown-Fitch on Friday as the squad secured a 76-42 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Canfield has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Howland, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
