Basketball Recap: Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame Drops Season-High Score on Republic

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame). They came out on top against the Republic Tigers by a score of 64-55 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Annelise Curran out in front who went 9-for-22 en route to 36 points in addition to seven steals and six assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which Curran has scored at least a third of Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Naomi Hartman, who went 8-for-19 to rack up 22 points and three steals.

The victory got Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame back to even at 9-9. As for Republic, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8.

Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-43 defeat against Curlew on the 8th. Republic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
