It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Palm Desert ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They skirted past the Brawley Wildcats 5-4. Winning may never get old, but the Aztecs sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Stevie Hutchinson, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Gladish, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Palm Desert pushed their record up to 16-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Brawley, they now have a losing record of 9-10.
