Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jemez Valley). They took their matchup on Monday with ease, bagging a 69-33 win over the Menaul Panthers. The Warrior have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Menaul saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Karlea Apodaca posted 16 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Julie Robles, who earned three points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Jemez Valley is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Menaul, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Oak Grove Classical Academy the next time they take the court. Menaul will host Oak Grove Classical Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Jemez Valley will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on January 28th.
