            Basketball Recap: Knightstown Panthers vs. Centerville Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            Knightstown was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They took a  blow against the Centerville Bulldogs, falling  77-37. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings  (they are ranked 373rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 102nd).
 Centerville found their leader in freshman  Jace Hollendonner, who  went 10 of 15  en route to 24  points along with five  rebounds and four  steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most  points  Hollendonner has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Landyn Keiser, who  went 5 of 11  en route to 14 points and four  steals.
Knightstown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Centerville, their win was  their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 5-2.
 Knightstown will have a little extra prep time after the  loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Edinburgh at 7:30  p.m.  on January 4, 2025. After both having extra time off, Centerville and Ben Davis will shake off the cobwebs and  square off against  one another  at 10:30  a.m.  on January 2, 2025. One thing working in Centerville's favor is that they have posted at least 55  points  in their last three matches.
