Basketball Recap: Timberline Victorious

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Timberline's strategy against Genesee on Saturday. The Timberline Spartans walked away with a 59-50 victory over the Genesee Bulldogs. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in December of 2024, they had to take a 49-39 defeat.

Genesee's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Bollman, who posted 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Ketcheson, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.

The win got Timberline back to even at 6-6. As for Genesee, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Timberline does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Genesee, they and Highland will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Genesee is facing Highland at the right time seeing as Highland is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
