It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Filer ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Cole Valley Christian Chargers. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly two runs.

The team relied heavily on Bennett Mason, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Aydyn Burns, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Filer is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 14-3-1 record this season. As for Cole Valley Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Filer will face off against Kimberly at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cole Valley Christian, they will square off against Payette at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
