Football Recap: Ashwaubenon Takes a Loss

After flying high against Appleton West last Friday, Ashwaubenon came back down to earth. The Jaguars came up short against the De Pere Redbirds on Thursday, falling 26-3. The loss continues a trend for the Jaguars in their meetings with the Redbirds: they've now lost five in a row.

Ashwaubenon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for De Pere, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-2.

Coming up, Ashwaubenon will head out to face off against Bay Port at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th. As for De Pere, they will be playing at home against Green Bay Preble at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th. The Redbirds will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
