Basketball Recap: Coosa Takes a Loss

Coosa lost against Christian Heritage back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Coosa Eagles were beaten by the Christian Heritage Lions 88-49. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 434th, while the Lions are ranked 132nd).

Coosa's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Christian Heritage, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 19-1.

Coosa will venture away from home to face off against Gordon Lee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Christian Heritage, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Christian Heritage Lions duke it out with the Darlington Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Christian Heritage knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 20 matches -- so hopefully Darlington likes a good challenge.
