Stanford nabbed two Washington basketball players in one week.

Bellevue point guard Aaron Bright, one of the top rising seniors in the state, committed to the Cardinal. Bright was the KingCo 3A/2A MVP last season.

"The combination of the basketball program and the academics were perfect," Bright told the Seattle Times.

Bright said he was recruited to play point guard, a position he moved to last year and won All-State honors. Bright was also considering Washington State, Harvard and several West Coast Conference schools, he told the Times.

Stanford also nabbed Vashon big man John Gage. The 6-foot-9 Gage led Vashon the Class 1A state title.

Washington was reportedly interested.
