Basketball Recap: Kettering Takes a Loss

Kettering was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They were beaten by the Walled Lake Central Vikings 75-46. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Captains this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-27 on January 7th.

Several Captains players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gustas Garbenis, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 22 points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Jarrell, who posted ten points along with six assists and five rebounds.

Kettering's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Walled Lake Central, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.

Kettering is taking a road trip to take on South Lyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Walled Lake Central, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Notre Dame Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
