Basketball Recap: Muncy Picks Up 12th Straight Win on the Road

Muncy waltzed into their match on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Bucktail Bucks, posting a 70-37 victory. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 28 points or more this season.

Muncy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Stiles Eyer out in front who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Guardini, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 15 points.

Muncy's victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Bucktail, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Muncy will venture away from home to challenge Montgomery at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Muncy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Montgomery likes a good challenge. As for Bucktail, they will host South Williamsport at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
