Football Recap: Laurel Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Laurel dropped to 4-4 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They came up short against the Lake Forest Spartans, falling 28-7. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

As for Lake Forest, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 28.9 points thus far.

Andrew White had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 188 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per carry. Those 188 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Demarion Russ, who rushed for 112 yards and one TD on only 11 carries.

Laurel has already played their next game, a 14-6 victory against Sussex Tech on the 30th. As for Lake Forest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 35-6 win against Woodbridge on the 31st.
