Basketball Recap: Black River Drops Highest Score of Season Against Our Lady of the Lake Catholic

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Black River). They managed a 57-53 victory over the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Lakers on Monday. For the Rats, this counts as revenge for the 45-44 win the Lakers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Black River's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Our Lady of the Lake Catholic, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-7.

Black River didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-54 defeat against Wellspring Prep on the 14th. Our Lady of the Lake Catholic has also already played their next game (against Countryside Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
