Baseball Recap: Salinas Gets the Win

Salinas lost to Castro Valley back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Salinas Cowboys came out on top against the Castro Valley Trojans by a score of 7-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cowboys.

Jordan Isla was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of J.T. Lopez, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Salinas always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.

Salinas' record is now 2-0. As for Castro Valley, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salinas will square off against Pacific Grove at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Castro Valley, they will challenge Newark Memorial at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
