Basketball Recap: Troy Christian Comes Up Short

Troy Christian was the 70-34 winner over Bethel when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Troy Christian Eagles fell just short of the Bethel Bees by a score of 45-42 on Saturday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bethel's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cameron Ahrens, who went 7 for 9 on his way to 16 points and six rebounds. Eli Lowery was another key player, going 5 of 9 on his way to 13 points and five boards.

Troy Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Bethel, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Troy Christian will square off against Covington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bethel, they will challenge Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
