Softball Recap: Mt. Baker Wins Going Away Against Blaine

Mt. Baker won the last time they faced Blaine and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mountaineers were the clear victors by a 17-3 margin over the Borderites. Considering the Mountaineers have won nine matches by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Mt. Baker and bumps their season record up to 10-7. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Blaine, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mt. Baker is set to take on their familiar foe Nooksack Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Blaine will challenge rival Burlington-Edison at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
