Soccer Game Preview: Chicago Vocational vs. Hyde Park

The Chicago Vocational Cavaliers will take on the Hyde Park Thunderbirds at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Chicago Vocational has given up an average of 4.6 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Chicago Vocational's offense. They came up short against Spry Community Links on Thursday, falling 5-0. Chicago Vocational have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, neither Hyde Park nor Englewood Stem could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. That draw made it three straight for Hyde Park.

With that draw, Hyde Park's record moves to 2-2-3. As for Chicago Vocational, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Chicago Vocational took their win against Hyde Park in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0 score. Will the Cavaliers repeat their success, or do the Thunderbirds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
