Basketball Game Preview: Saint James Saints vs. St. Andrew's Episcopal Lions

Saint James hasn't had much luck against St. Andrew's Episcopal recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Saint James Saints will square off against the St. Andrew's Episcopal Lions at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Saint James is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Sidwell Friends, who was ranked ninth in their home state at the time (Saint James was ranked 19th). Saint James took a 58-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sidwell Friends on Friday. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, St. Andrew's Episcopal suffered their biggest defeat since January 4th on Monday. They came up short against Flint Hill, falling 89-68.

Saint James' loss dropped their record down to 7-18. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-8.

Saint James suffered a grim 80-59 defeat to St. Andrew's Episcopal in their previous matchup last Friday. Can Saint James avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
