Football Recap: Adelanto Find Success

Adelanto's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the La Sierra Eagles a 6-0 shutout.

Adelanto can attribute much of their success to Jordan Morgan, who rushed for 131 yards and one touchdown.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Adelanto proved: they limited La Sierra to a paltry 2.6 yards per carry. While five picked up at least one total tackle, Morgan stood above the rest. He rushed for 131 yards and one score. Adelanto's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 3.8.

The victory got Adelanto back to even at 2-2. As for La Sierra, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Adelanto has already played their next contest, a 14-7 loss against Hemet on the 18th. As for La Sierra, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 21-0 defeat against Moreno Valley on the 18th.
