Mt. Carmel added to the longest winning streak in Freelance this week by beating Boonville, 41-0. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Crossroads Christian lost to Forreston 48-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Reece Metcalf was a passing and rushing force as Mt. Carmel beat the Pioneers. He completed 9 passes for 309 yards and also ran for 52 yards. Metcalf's favorite target this week was Austin Thompson, who caught 4 passes for 110 yards.
Sam Toennies threw for 287 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was 19-36 with 2 interceptions.
Toennies put up the best numbers in passing as Mater Dei fell to Jacksonville. Toennies' favorite target this week was Jordan Ratermann, who caught 5 passes for 103 yards.
Darren Peach's team's Metcalf and Thompson led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback Metcalf has thrown for 1,746 yards this season, while Thompson has 33 catches for 598 yards. Ratermann from the Knights leads the league in rushing with 746 yards.
The Aces led the league in scoring this week by notching 41 points on Boonville. Metcalf ran for 52 yards in the win.
