Freeman proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by eight) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Sealy Tigers. Freeman's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matchups.
Their one-goal win came courtesy of Jenesis Ridley, who's now up to 35 this season.
Freeman's win bumped their record up to 16-3-1. As for Sealy, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 13-1-2 and their overall record down to 20-3-2.
Freeman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sealy, they will square off against Bay City at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Bay City will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something Sealy surely won't give up without a fight.
