Basketball Recap: Martay Stiffarm-Rosette's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Box Elder over Turner

Box Elder lost against Turner back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Box Elder Bears took a 53-39 bruising from the Turner Tornadoes. The Bears were down 49-20 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Martay Stiffarm-Rosette, who posted 16 points. Shareece Raining Bird was another key player, putting up ten points.

Box Elder's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Turner, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

When Box Elder and Turner next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Box Elder will try to stop Chester-Joplin-Inverness' four-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Turner will square off against Fort Benton and their three-game winning streak at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
