Basketball Recap: Metairie Park Country Day Comes Up Short

Metairie Park Country Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were beaten by the Dunham Tigers 52-24. While losing is never fun, the Cajuns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 324th, while the Tigers are ranked 123rd).

Metairie Park Country Day's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Dunham, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

When Metairie Park Country Day and Dunham next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Metairie Park Country Day will try to stop Riverdale's six-game winning streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Dunham will face off against Live Oak and their three-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
