Volleyball Recap: Mt. Vernon Comes Up Short

Mt. Vernon lost against Boonville back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell 3-1 to the Pioneers.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-19, 14-25, 25-15.

Stella Hall paced Mt. Vernon's offense, picking up 12 kills. Hall got some help from Maiya Jones and her 31 assists. Jones was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Reagan Schnuck was nothing short of spectacular for Boonville: she had 38 digs. Those 38 digs gave Schnuck a new career-high.

Mt. Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Boonville, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Vernon will venture away from home to take on Evansville Reitz at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Boonville, they will head out to square off against Evansville Mater Dei at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
