Baseball Recap: Bath County Comes Up Short

Bath County had lost five straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 16-18-1 to make it six. They lost 9-1 to the Fleming County Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered against the Panthers since May 15, 2023.

Bath County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Dillon, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

As for Fleming County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-14. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

On Fleming County's side, the team relied heavily on Lester Doyle, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Conner Allen also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

As of now, neither Bath County nor Fleming County have any future games scheduled.
