Basketball Recap: Arickaree Piles Up the Points Against Flagler

Arickaree was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Flagler on Saturday. The Arickaree Bison simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Flagler Panthers 59-30. The game marked the Bison's most dominant win of the season so far.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arickaree to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jake King, who went 7 for 10 on his way to 16 points and five steals. Austin Wright was another key player, going 7 of 15 on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds.

Arickaree was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Flagler only posted three assists.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zaniel Salee, who posted seven points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Keegan Isenbart, who had 11 points.

Arickaree has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Flagler, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arickaree will square off against Peetz at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Arickaree is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.3 points per game this season. As for Flagler, they will challenge Deer Trail at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Flagler is facing Deer Trail at the right time seeing as Deer Trail is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
