Baseball Recap: Flathead Takes Down Ranked Great Falls

Flathead faced Great Falls in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Braves blew past the Bison 15-5. Considering the Braves have won three games by more than nine runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Flathead and bumps their season record up to 4-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Great Falls, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Coming up, Flathead will be playing in front of their home fans against Big Sky at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Braves will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups. As for Great Falls, they will challenge Skyview at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bison's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
