Basketball Game Preview: Buckfield Bucks vs. Pine Tree Academy Breakers

The Buckfield Bucks will venture away from home to face off against the Pine Tree Academy Breakers at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Buckfield is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Buckfield came up short against Richmond and fell 55-46.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pine Tree Academy). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat North Haven 62-13. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Pine Tree Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Buckfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Buckfield came out on top in a nail-biter against Pine Tree Academy when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 56-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for Buckfield since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
