Mescalero Apache has gone 10-0 against Cloudcroft recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Mescalero Apache Chiefs will head out to take on the Cloudcroft Bears at 2:30 p.m. Mescalero Apache has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Mescalero Apache took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 50-38 victory over Mesilla Valley Christian School. The win was some much needed relief for the Chiefs as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Cloudcroft was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 40-33 to Capitan.

Cloudcroft's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Mescalero Apache, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 12-9.

Mescalero Apache strolled past Cloudcroft in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a score of 62-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mescalero Apache since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
