After a string of five wins, Rancho Verde's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Rancho Christian Eagles by a score of 9-8. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 8-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Julian Dominguez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run and four RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Sebas Cazares, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Rancho Verde's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Rancho Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-5.

While Rancho Verde had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
