AA Region 3 recap Nov. 7, 2012
Screven County extended the longest winning streak in AA Region 3 this week by beating Josey, 40-12. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Laney took down Dublin 38-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Screven County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Gamecocks feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Aikeem Mingle has thrown for 679 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Tevin Sneed has 18 catches for 238 yards. Jeremy Johnson leads the league in rushing with 1259 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Fighting Irish take on Screven County. Dublin is currently in sixth, while Ron Duncan's team is in first.
East Laurens made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,994 from 6,515. The improvement was the result of 42-13 victory over Westside last week.
