Baseball Preview: Collinsville Kahoks vs. Centralia Orphans
The Collinsville Kahoks will face off against the Centralia Orphans at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Centralia took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Collinsville, who comes in off a win.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Collinsville and O'Fallon meet (six straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Kahoks walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Panthers. The win was some much needed relief for the Kahoks as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Will Swip spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Collinsville's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit.
