Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Mineola walked away with it. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Redwater Dragons on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Yellowjackets, who have now won six matchups in a row.

The team relied heavily on Journie Wilson, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kali Chrietzberg, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Mineola pushed their record up to 20-11-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Redwater, their loss dropped their record down to 13-18-1.

Mineola will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Dragons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
