Basketball Game Preview: North Tama Redhawks vs. North Linn Lynx

The North Tama Redhawks will head out to square off against the North Linn Lynx on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Thursday, North Tama humbled Belle Plaine with a 58-19 victory. The Redhawks have beaten the Plainsmen the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Plainsmen has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, North Linn had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.5 points) and they went ahead and made it 13 on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 58-44 win over the Cougars.

North Linn's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points over those games. As for North Tama, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.
