            Baseball Recap: Jackson-Reed Tigers vs. Eastern Ramblers        
        
		
        
        
            Jackson-Reed came tearing into  Wednesday's  matchup with six straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Eastern Ramblers  a   12-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Zander Leckszas looked comfortable as he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in five consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Jackson Loomis was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases, four  RBI,  and one  triple. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of  Evan Rosario, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with four  stolen bases and three  runs.
 Jackson-Reed  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eastern only posted  an  OBP of  .118.

Jackson-Reed pushed their record up to 20-4 with the  victory, which was their 15th straight  at home dating back to last season. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Eastern, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9-1 record  this season.
 Jackson-Reed didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  an  18-0  victory against Roosevelt on the 25th. As for Eastern, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  matchup,  a  7-0  win against Cardozo on the 25th.
