Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They had to suffer through a 63-30 loss at the hands of the El Dorado Christian Buffalos. One positive for the Crusaders, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Zoey Zamarripa, who posted 13 points and six boards. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Jorja Webster also deserves some recognition as she scored her first point of the season.
El Dorado Christian found their leader in sophomore McKenzie Cole, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cole has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ashlynn Judd, who scored six points and 17 boards.
Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis' defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for El Dorado Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-10.
Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis has already played their next matchup, a 41-13 loss against Crosspoint Christian on the 14th. As for El Dorado Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 30-29 victory against Eagle Ridge Christian on the 14th.
