There's no place like home for Prospect, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They claimed a resounding 39-8 win over the James Lick Comets. Considering the Panthers' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Cody Roberts had a dynamite game, rushing for 90 yards and three TDs on only six carries.

Roberts was just one part of a punishing run game: Prospect was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 232 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as James Lick didn't rushed for any rushing yards.

Prospect's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for James Lick, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prospect will head out to face off against Mt. Pleasant at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for James Lick, they will venture away from home to square off against Evergreen Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
