Soccer Game Preview: Clinton vs. Madison Central

The Clinton Arrows will head out on the road to challenge the Madison Central Jaguars at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Clinton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Mississippi's top teams: Tupelo, who was ranked sixth at the time (Clinton was ranked 13th). Clinton blew past Tupelo 4-1 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Arrows.

Meanwhile, Madison Central came tearing into Thursday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.8 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Yellowjackets onto the board and left with a 6-0 win.

Madison Central's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Clinton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4-1 record this season.
